2005 RACGP Research Foundation grants
Applications for the 2005 RACGP Research Foundation grants are now open for
GPs until 5pm (EST) 9 May, 2005.
The RACGP encourages all general practitioners who have ever considered
conducting research into areas such as diabetes, stroke, indigenous health,
depression or road accident trauma to apply for funding this year through
the RACGP Research Foundation. Whether you're a rural or urban; full time or
part time; novice or experienced researcher, it doesn't matter as all GPs
are encouraged to apply.
Participating in research projects offers significant personal benefits for
general practitioners such as expanding their knowledge and role. Under
changes to the RACGP QA&CPD program, certain research activities now attract
CPD points. Opportunities to become more knowledgeable in a specific health
area of interest, applying research expertise to solving real world health
problems and finding answers to practice generated questions are additional
incentives to general practitioners.
With research grants totaling well over $300,000, there has never been a
better time for GPs to download the application forms at the RACGP website:
www.racgp.org.au/research and apply.
